Medard weather system can predict air pollution

Scientists have launched a new version of the Czech weather forecasting system Medard. The system now offers a specific weather forecast for every 9 kilometres in Europe and every 3 kilometres in the Czech Republic. In addition to being the most detailed forecasting system in the country so far, Medard is also the only one that can predict air pollution. This is where the scientists from the Institute of Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences, where Medard was developed, see its future.
